The ending of the game depends on whether the player has collected a set of eggs appearing over the course of the game: If the player fails to collect all 22 eggs, the player will obtain the bad ending. On Christmas Eve, the tension rises to a climax with the arrival of several additional Baby Talking Tattletails who are here for "a party for Mama.", and enlist the player in a ritual to banish the Mama Tattletail forever. After some time, some of the camera feeds' names turn red, the lighting changes from blue to green, and trash bags and inanimate human bodies appear on Camera 5's "red" mode, Mama is watching as a man's lower legs struggle (the rest is obscured). On Night 4, the player finds a VHS tape it shows several interchangeable camera feeds from what can only be assumed to be a Tattletail commercial (which is actually footage from the trailer). All the while, the Mama Tattletail hunts down the player relentlessly. During each of the remaining nights leading up to Christmas Day, the player is awakened by Tattletail's mounting mischief and demands, including a game of hide-and-seek with an additional Baby Talking Tattletail toy that appears. The tape contains a snippet from a story in a read-along style, including prompts to "turn the page", about how "the children thought that Mama would never find them as long as she couldn't see them" but Mama found them nevertheless. In the corner sits the now-recalled Mama Tattletail, along with a cassette tape which can be played using the toy. On Night 3, the player encounters the contents of an old nursery in the basement. The next night the layer finds the same Tattletail in the tumble dryer, with no indication how they got there. After playing with the toy briefly, the player character goes back to bed.

The present is the new fad toy, Talking Tattletail. The player wakes up on December 20 to open their Christmas present early. The game was released on Steam on December 28, 2016. The gamefeatures Furby-like toys called TalkingTattletails, more specifically "BabyTattletail", which the player must care for while avoiding the pursuit of its recalled predecessor Mama Tattletail. The lyrics state that Mama wasn't banned, which is an effect of the Protagonist's memories being wrong.Tattletail is a video game created by Waygetter Electronics. The commercial also references Mama Tattletail in its lyrics, unlike the original commercial. Mama Tattletail can be seen at various points, sometimes laying on her side. In this commercial, Tattletail seems to be marketed as an educational toy. The game instructs the player to watch it. One of the VHS tapes (which contains a commercial) is found in the Kaleidoscope, and is responsible for having tampered with the Protagonist's memories of the events surrounding Tattletail. Kaleidoscope Campaign Inside The Kaleidoscope

First, the player has to rewind it, and then after retrieving the candles that Mama Tattletail steals, they need to destroy the VHS tape. The VHS tape is used in the ritual to banish Mama Tattletail. The first VHS tape can be found near the Yellow Tattletail, and can be picked up once the player wins the hide & seek game. The VHS tape in the Kaleidoscope campaign only contains a commercial. The VHS tape in the regular campaign can be interacted with via a number of "Camera angles" which show off different Baby Talking Tattletail products, such as Mama Tattletail, the Gift Eggs and the box that Tattletails are packaged in. Neither commercial begins playing until the player prompts them to do so. It differs from watching regular VHS tapes in that the player can interact with the footage. Upon inserting either VHS tape into the Protagonist's television, the player is taken to the Video Horror System, allowing them to view the tape.
